Beef Short Ribs


  • 1 pound beef short ribs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour (all-purpose)
  • ½ tsp black pepper (grounded)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 12 fluid ounce stout beer
  • 1 cup beef stock


Step 1: Season short ribs with black pepper and salt, then dredge them in flour to coat them fully. Shake off the extra flour.

Step 2: Then heat olive oil and butter over medium temperature on a skillet. Cook ribs till they turn brown on each side for 5 minutes. Remove them from the skillet.

Step 3: Add onion and garlic in skillet and cook onion until they become tender. Pour beer and ribs in skillet again then stir until all brown bits have mixed with liquid.

Step 4: Pour it inside the beef stock and cover to simmer over low heat for about 2 hours.
