Today I am going to share my granny’s old-fashioned Fried apple pies recipe, I am seeing this from childhood hood and sparingly they are sweet, soft and juicy from inside and crispy from outside with perfect texture.
Here Is The Step By Step Process of Fried Apple Pie Recipe
STEP 1: Take a pan and put 2-3 tsp of butter, 4-5 cups of cubed apples, ½ cups of sugar, and ½ tsp of cinnamons. Make sure to cook them for 10-12 minutes until the apples become mushy and soft, let off the flam, and place it at room temperature for 10 – 20 minutes.
STEP 2: Take a bowl and add 1 ¼ cups of self-rising flour, ¼ cups of vegetable shorting and mix it with a beater. Take another small bowl and add ½ cups of buttermilk and 1 egg, make sure to mix them properly.
STEP 3: Now add the mixture of buttermilk and egg into the large bowl of flour, again beat them properly.
STEP 4: Sprinkle some flour on the pan and make 8 equal portions of the dough, now turn each portion into circles with the help of a hand roller.
STEP 5: Add the apple filling to the middle of the circular dough and close the edges, take a fork, and press the edges properly.
STEP 6: Take a pan and heat up the oil for about 350 F, lets put the pies one by one and fry them until the golden color appears.
STEP 7: Your apple fried pie is ready to sprinkle some cinnamon on the top of the friend pie and serves it.
