I am going to reveal my favorite lemon meringue pie with delicious homemade pie crust, sweet and sour filling, and creamy meringue on the top, I bet you can’t resist taking a bite.
Here Is The Step By Step Process of Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe
STEP 1: grease your 9 inches pie pan gently.
STEP 2: Take a bowl and add 1.5 cups of flour, 3tsp of icing sugar,, and 120 g of butter, make sure to crush the butter with your finger. Now add an egg and ¼ cup of water until you will get a dough shape.
STEP 3: Roll the dough properly with a roller and set it on the greased pan, cover it with aluminum foil and put some sea salt on the top. You can put anything on the top we just need to restrict the bubbling process.
STEP 4: Bake it for about 20 – 30 minutes at 400 F, Let’s give it some rest at room temperature. Take a knife and set the edges of the pie crust.
STEP 5: Take a pan add ½ cups of cornflour, 2-3 tsp. of Grated Lemon Rind, ½ cups of lemon juice,, and 1 cup of caster sugar, make sure to cook them until you will found a thick mixture. Now add 3 egg yolks and 60g of unsalted butter.
STEP 6: let’s cool down the filling at room temperature, now spread the mixture on the top of the pie crust evenly.
STEP 7: Take another bowl and add 4 egg whites and ½ cups of caster sugar beat them for about 10 minutes.
STEP 8: Spread the meringue on the top of the filling, Make some peaks on the top of the meringue with a spoon.
STEP 9: Bake the pie for about 10-12 minutes at the temperature of 375 F, Let’s check out the color of the edges, they should be golden brown
