Maple Pecan Pie Recipe

Mmmm. Maple pecan pie is one of my dad’s favorite pies. Sweet maple syrup topped with buttery pecans over a crunchy, flaky crust…I think that about sums it up. It’s truly heaven on earth to him! I hope you get the chance to try this recipe for yourself soon!

Ingredients

  • Graham cracker crumbs or crushed biscuits 1 ¼ cup
  • Chopped pecans 30g
  • Melted unsalted butter ¼ cup,
  • Pecan halves 1 cup
  • Pure maple syrup 4 tsp.
  • Salt for taste
  • Cinnamon 14 tsp
  • Pure maple syrup ¾ cup
  • Unsalted butter ½ cup
  • Whipping cream 2 cup
  • Egg yolks 4
  • 1 large whole egg
  • Vanilla extract 2 tsp.
  • Instant skim milk powder 1 Tsp.

Process

STEP 1: Take a bowl and add 1 ¼ cups of graham cracker crumbs or crushed biscuits, 30g of chopped pecans, and ¼ cups of melted butter, let’s give them a mix with your hand. Now take a 9-inch pie pan and spread the mixture on the bottom evenly, make sure to force them with a spoon.

STEP 2: Take a medium-size bowl and add 1 cup of pecan halves, 2 tsp. of pure maple syrup, a pinch of salt, and cinnamon, let’s give them a mix with a spoon.

STEP 3: Bake both pecans and graham crackers crumbs for about 10 – 12 minutes on 350 F

STEP 4: put a pan on a low flame and add ¾ cups of maple syrup, make sure to cook them for 2 – 3 minutes until you found a bubble, now add ½ cups of unsalted butter and whisk them until it melted.

STEP 5: Add 1 cup of wiping cream 4 egg york and 1 whole egg, make sure to whisk them for about 2 minutes, pour the mixture on the top of graham cracker crumbs. Let’s bake it for about 40 – 50 minutes on 325 F. Make sure to put it in a refrigerator for about 4 hours after baking.

STEP 6: Take another bowl and add a cup of beaten whipping cream, 2 tsp. of maple syrup, 1 tsp. of vanilla extract and 1 tsp. Instant skim milk powder. Let’s spread it on the top of maple pecan tart.

STEP 7:  Crushed the baked pecan halves and spread them on the top of whipped cream.

Your delicious Maple pecan pie is ready to serve.
