Smoked Salmon – Easy Step By Step Guide

Most of the people in a Salmon country hot smoke their fish. This is a simple yet deliciously appetizing dish and oozes sophistication. If you want to make the perfect smoked salmon then this recipe will prove to be helpful to you. I’ve explained the easiest step-by-step guide for making the most delicious smoked salmon at home.

  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 salmon fillet (about 2 pounds)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • Optional: Lemon slices and capers

Step 1: In an 11×7- baking pan coated with cooking spray, place the salmon skin-side down. Sprinkle with pepper, salt and brown sugar. Drizzle with the liquid smoke. Now, cover and refrigerate it for about 4-8 hours.

Step 2: Drain salmon discarding the liquid. Bake it when it is uncovered at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the fish flakes easily with a fork for about 35 to 45 minutes. Cool it down to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate it for 8 hours or overnight. Serve it with lemon slices and capers if desired.
